By making a reservation or using the Golden River Motor Inn website, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before booking.

1. General

These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the Golden River Motor Inn website (www.goldenrivermotorinn.com.au) and the accommodation services provided by Golden River Motor Inn, Echuca, Victoria, Australia (“the Inn”, “we”, “us”, “our”).

By accessing our website or making a reservation, you (“the Guest”) agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, as well as any additional policies communicated at the time of booking.

2. Reservations and Bookings

2.1 Booking Platform

Online reservations are processed through the RMS (Resort Management Systems) booking platform. By completing a booking via RMS, you agree to the terms and conditions of that platform in addition to these Terms and Conditions. Golden River Motor Inn is not responsible for the operation, availability, or policies of the RMS platform.

2.2 Booking Confirmation

A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of a written confirmation (typically via email) and, where applicable, a deposit or full prepayment. We reserve the right to decline or cancel any reservation at our discretion.

2.3 Accuracy of Information

Guests are responsible for ensuring that all booking details — including dates, room type, number of guests, and contact information — are correct at the time of booking. Please contact us promptly if any details require amendment.

3. Rates and Payments

3.1 Room Rates

All rates are quoted in Australian Dollars (AUD) and are inclusive of GST. Rates are per room per night unless otherwise stated and are subject to change without notice until a booking is confirmed.

3.2 Payment

A valid credit or debit card is required to secure a reservation. Specific payment terms (including deposit requirements) will be outlined at the time of booking through the RMS platform. Accepted payment methods will be communicated at check-in or via the booking confirmation.

3.3 Additional Charges

Guests may be liable for additional charges incurred during their stay, including but not limited to damage to property, excessive cleaning, or loss of keys. These charges will be applied to the credit card provided at the time of booking.

4. Cancellation and Modification Policy

4.1 Cancellations

Cancellation policies vary depending on the room type and rate selected at the time of booking. The specific cancellation terms applicable to your reservation will be disclosed during the booking process via the RMS platform.

To cancel a reservation, please use the cancellation facility provided in your booking confirmation or contact us directly.

4.2 Late Cancellations and No-Shows

Cancellations made after the applicable cancellation deadline, or failure to arrive without prior notice (a “no-show”), may result in forfeiture of the deposit or a cancellation fee equivalent to one or more nights’ accommodation, as specified in your booking confirmation.

4.3 Modifications

Requests to modify an existing booking (including changes to dates or room type) are subject to availability and may result in a rate adjustment. We will endeavour to accommodate modification requests where possible.

4.4 Cancellation by the Inn

In exceptional circumstances, we reserve the right to cancel a confirmed reservation. In such cases, we will notify you as soon as possible and provide a full refund of any amounts paid. We are not liable for any additional costs or expenses incurred as a result of such cancellation.

5. Check-In and Check-Out

  • Check-in: From 2:00 PM. Early check-in may be available upon request and subject to availability.
  • Check-out: By 10:00 AM. Late check-out may be arranged upon request and may be subject to an additional charge.

Guests are required to present valid photo identification at check-in. The Inn reserves the right to request a credit card pre-authorisation for incidentals at check-in.

6. Guest Responsibilities

6.1 Conduct

Guests are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that is respectful to other guests, staff, and the property. We reserve the right to ask any guest to vacate the premises without refund if their behaviour is deemed to be disruptive, offensive, or a risk to the safety of others.

6.2 Occupancy

Rooms must not be occupied by more guests than stated in the booking. Unauthorised guests in rooms are not permitted. Maximum occupancy limits apply to all room types and must be observed.

6.3 Damage to Property

Guests are liable for any damage caused to the Inn’s property, facilities, or equipment during their stay. The cost of repairs or replacement will be charged to the guest.

6.4 Smoking

Golden River Motor Inn is a smoke-free property. Smoking is strictly prohibited in all rooms and indoor areas. A cleaning fee may be charged if this policy is breached.

6.5 Pets

Pets are not permitted on the property unless otherwise agreed in writing prior to arrival.

7. Facilities and Amenities

Use of the Inn’s facilities (including the swimming pool, car park, and common areas) is subject to posted rules and at the Guest’s own risk. We reserve the right to restrict access to facilities for maintenance, safety, or other operational reasons without prior notice.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Golden River Motor Inn is not liable for:

Any loss, theft, or damage to a Guest’s personal property on the premises;
Any personal injury, illness, or death not caused by our negligence;
Any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your stay or use of our website;
Interruption or cancellation of services or facilities due to circumstances beyond our control.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits any rights you may have under Australian Consumer Law.

9. Website Use

The content on this website — including text, images, and graphics — is the property of Golden River Motor Inn and is protected by copyright. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content from this website without our prior written consent.

We make every effort to ensure that information on our website is accurate and up to date, but we do not warrant that it is free from errors. We reserve the right to update or amend website content at any time without notice.

10. Gift Vouchers

Gift vouchers are available for purchase and are subject to their own terms and conditions, which are provided at the time of purchase. Vouchers are not redeemable for cash and are non-refundable unless required by law.

11. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes arising under these Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.

12. Changes to Terms and Conditions
